Keys & Responsibilities - but not limited to:
Manage accounts payable and reconciliations
Prepare BAS, payroll, superannuation, and PAYG reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software
Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
Support cash flow management and budgeting
Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
Provide financial insights to management to support business decision-making
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
Prepare, edit and organize reports, memos and documents for management
Act as a liaison between management and employees, clients and other
external partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication to handle correspondence and act
as a representative
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost
professionalism
Capability to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and implement improvements to
processes.
Maintain registers for all company insurances, plant, equipment, vehicles,
property rates and charges, sales and leasing registers and the like for
management
Manage fleet of vehicles and machinery including arranging routine servicing,
maintenance, registrations, insurances and the like
Undertake onboarding of new staff to company policies and procedures
Experience with Construction for understanding of fundamental building terms
would be beneficial but not essential
Match and enter invoices to purchase orders into Procore Software and setup
workflow approvals for Management Approval
Enter and undertake cross matching of purchase ordered items and identify
differences for issue to Management
Ensure end of day time sheets are completed by all staff completed on Procore
– Summarise any staff end of shift who haven’t and issue notices
Ensure invoices are entered and approved for mid month & end of month
payment runs
Maintain filing systems such that all invoices and documents are correctly
attached to transactions
Experience Microsoft Office especially excel to update existing status registers
for projects
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills including negotiation skills
Ability to work independently whilst contributing as a key team member
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, or equivalent) and MS Office
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
Experience and understanding with large multi entity family groups, specific attention to detail with reconciling intercompany loan accounts and managing expenses between entities.
Highly motivated individual to seek out answers from relevant coworkers to ensure timely completion of tasks
