We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controllers to join our growing team in Townsville. This role offers a variety of work across civil construction, roadworks, infrastructure projects, maintenance works, and special events.

As a Traffic Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and workers while maintaining compliance with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and direct traffic using Stop/Slow bats and approved traffic control devices.

  • Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signage, barriers, and equipment.

  • Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and road users.

  • Monitor traffic conditions and respond to changing site requirements.

  • Conduct site safety checks and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Work in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures and industry regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Current Traffic Controller Licence (QLD).

  • Construction Industry White Card.

  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.

  • Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, night shifts, and emergency call-outs when required.

Highly Regarded

  • Traffic Management Implementation qualification.

  • First Aid & CPR certification.

  • Experience in civil construction or road maintenance projects.

  • HR/MR Licence.

  • Availability for regional and remote work.
