About your opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Clinical Information Administration Services team at Townsville University Hospital as an Administration Officer within Specialty Wards. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, person-centred care by supporting patients, families and clinical teams through effective administrative services.
As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in coordinating day-to-day administrative operations across Specialty Wards Administration and the broader service. You will engage with a range of stakeholders, ensuring the accurate management of patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.
This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, with responsibilities including providing a welcoming front-line service, managing enquiries, maintaining patient records in hospital information systems, and supporting clinical staff in a busy hospital environment.
The position operates across a 24/7 roster, including afternoon shifts, weekends and public holidays, ensuring continuous support to meet patient care needs.
