Your new company 
Our client is a government agency responsible for delivering critical services and infrastructure across Queensland. Operating within a structured and regulated environment, the organisation is committed to maintaining high standards of governance, accountability, and financial management, supporting the effective delivery of public services.Your new role 

  • Provide financial administrative support, including accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within financial management systems
  • Assist with reconciliations and routine financial reporting requirements
  • Support the preparation and administration of financial documentation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Undertake data entry and manage financial information across systems and databases
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support financial processes and resolve discrepancies
  • Contribute to a team environment to meet operational deadlines and priorities
  • What you'll need to succeed 
  • Demonstrated experience in finance or accounting support functions, including accounts payable/receivable
  • Sound knowledge of financial processes, systems, and controls
  • Experience using financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping
  • Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of, or ability to work within, government policies and procedures
  • Previous experience in a government environment (highly regarded)
  • Relevant qualification in accounting, commerce, or business (desirable)
  • Ability to successfully undergo a criminal history check
