Macmahon Surface Mining Australia is expanding across the East Coast, supporting major open-cut operations throughout Queensland and New South Wales. We're seeking a motivated Compliance Advisor to support contractor performance and statutory compliance at Brolga Village. This site based role is an excellent opportunity for a HSEQ Administrator, HSEQ Officer, or HSEQ Advisor from mining or another high risk industry who's ready to step into a broader compliance and governance position. You'll work closely with the Compliance Manager and operational leaders to uphold Macmahon's safety, compliance, and client standards.

About the Role

The Compliance Advisor is accountable for contractor compliance across the Byerwen Mine and Brolga Village operational areas. This role involves Contract Holder responsibilities for all contracted services, including those engaged directly by the client, ensuring alignment with site standards, statutory obligations, and contractual performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor performance and support governance processes across daily operations.
• Assist with statutory compliance activities, including documentation, audits, and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen contractor management and safety culture.
• Work alongside the Compliance Manager to ensure alignment with QLD mining legislation.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with site teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• Experience in HSEQ or contractor compliance within mining, construction, energy, manufacturing, logistics, or another high-risk industry.
• Strong attention to detail and service mindset
• Clear communication and ability to work with different teams
• Commitment to safety, respect and doing things the right way
• Working knowledge of QLD mining legislation, or the willingness and capability to develop this quickly with support.
• Alignment with Macmahon's values and commitment safety, respect and doing things the right way
