Exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to step into a key leadership role

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key finance leadership role on a fixed-term basis, supporting business continuity within a collaborative and professional team.

Your new role

As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will oversee cash flow management, prepare monthly management accounts, and ensure financial processes run smoothly during the contract period.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow requirements
  • Overseeing floor plan facilities, reconciliations, and drawdowns
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing payroll and supporting compliance processes
  • Monitoring debtor balances and aged receivables
  • Supporting audits and maintaining financial records
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and insurance processes
  • Leading and supporting a small finance team (AP, AR, Payroll)
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external financiers

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a senior finance or Financial Controller role
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow management
  • Experience overseeing payroll and debtor functions
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) desirable
  • Experience within dealership, automotive, agricultural, transport, or multi-site environments highly regarded
