Mercy Community is seeking a Community Care Worker Team Leader to join our Townsville team in a Permanent Full-Time role.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting and supervising our Community Care Workers, ensuring home care services are delivered with excellence and compassion, in line with our care philosophy. You’ll also assist the Care Partner with admissions, referrals, and client reviews, helping us provide seamless, high-quality care to our community.

Salary: $38.73 per hour (SCHADS L3) + superannuation and salary packaging

What you'll be doing:

  • Actively monitor clients’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the home care coordinator
  • Organise workload to prioritise crucial care processes in consultation with the appropriate senior team member
  • Assist in the provision of care, support, companionship and comfort of consumers
  • Assist clients with care requirements and services, in accordance with their assessed needs and preferences and as documented on the clients individual care plan

About you:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Aged Care Services or Community Support or similar or studying towards equivalent or higher qualification
  • Experience of working alongside clients with cognitive and/or physical limitations in a self-directed environment
  • Able to interpret schedules and written instructions, and/or know how to find the information required
  • Have first aid and CPR certification.
  • Own vehicle and a Queensland Provisional Green or above clear Driver Licence
  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the legislatively required personal history check
