$35.18 - $37.87 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications, junior rates may apply)

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated Activity Officer for our PCYC Yarrabah Youth Club who will be responsible for working with branch program staff to support the delivery of targeted activities to the local community. Juniors encouraged to apply

Your New Role

The Activity Officer will primarily be responsible for building community involvement and ownership of cultural activites/programs within the local community. This will include the delivery and supervision of a range of programs that address the cultural needs of the local community. About You

  • Experience in delivering and supervising cultural programs and working with children and young people within the community
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationship with stakeholders including young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Effective time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, which may include working in remote communities
  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Hold a light rigid driver’s licence and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain)
