Traffic Group Australia is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Supervisor to join our Townsville team. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a solid Traffic Management background who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys mentoring and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day traffic operations and workforce coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and support Traffic Controllers and field staff

  • Conduct inductions, onboarding, and site orientations for new hires

  • Deliver training and coaching to Traffic Controllers

  • Conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and Drug & Alcohol screening processes

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, WHS requirements, and traffic regulations

  • Assist with rostering, workforce planning, and operational reporting

  • Maintain strong communication with clients, crews, and management teams

About You

  • Previous experience in Traffic Management operations or supervision

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and lead teams effectively

  • Confident conducting training, onboarding, and compliance activities

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Flexible and willing to travel when required

  • Strong understanding of safety and operational procedures

Requirements

  • Traffic Management experience essential

  • Current Traffic Control tickets/licences

  • Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

  • Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening and Functional Capacity Assessment

  • Previous supervisory experience highly regarded
