🏗️ Site Supervisor - Lead Townsville Construction Projects

Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to lead and deliver outstanding projects in Townsville? A leading local builder is looking for an experienced and driven Site Supervisor to manage all aspects of site activity, from initial establishment right through to final defect rectification.

The Role: Your Responsibilities

As our Site Supervisor, you will be the central figure on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Full Site Management: Managing all aspects of site activity from establishment to defect rectification.
  • Safety & Compliance: Undertaking responsibility for onsite safety and establishing sites in strict accordance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
  • Project Oversight: Possessing and applying detailed knowledge of project scopes, contracts, and project time frames.
  • Team & Trade Coordination: Coordinating all trades, inducting, and managing subcontractors and site employees for maximum efficiency.
  • Reporting & Review: Engaging in regular reviews with the Construction and Building Managers and accurately recording daily site activities.
  • Communication: Carrying out effective toolbox talks and maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders.

The Skills We Need

To succeed in this vital role, you must demonstrate a proven track record and possess the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working on commercial construction, fitout & refurbishment projects in a management role.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with trades, clients, and management.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary, trade, and safety qualifications are essential.
  • Core Competencies: Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving expertise.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Attitude: A high level of enthusiasm, passion, and a willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
