The Role
Join Australia's leading insurance builder and manage the delivery of quality residential repair and restoration projects. Working across a diverse portfolio of claims, you will oversee subcontractors and site activities from commencement through to completion.
You will manage multiple residential repair projects across the Mackay region, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Working closely with customers, trades, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate the repair process, maintain quality outcomes, and deliver exceptional customer experience.
Based from our Mackay office, this role reports directly to the General Manager and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Directly manage site works and subcontractors across multiple construction and restoration projects
Drive a zero-shortcut culture, ensuring strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) laws, company policies, and contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
Monitor project performance against schedules, managing critical path activities, sequencing, and delivery timeframes
Attend sites to assess damage and prepare accurate scopes of work and cost estimates, interpreting reports, photos, and documentation
Liaise with insurers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and progress quotes
Coordinate property access and support smooth project setup and delivery
Monitor costs and margins, review estimates, and ensure no trades commence work without a purchase order
Identify and manage variations early to maintain project compliance and financial control
Build and maintain strong relationships across clients, adjusters, and the broader insurance network
Attend weekly construction meetings and work in progress (WIP) reviews, ensuring all job files, photographs, and documentation are up to date

We are looking for an ambitious individual with a proactive attitude and the drive to get things done. To be successful in this role, you will need:
Demonstrated experience within residential construction, insurance building or restoration
Experience preparing scopes of work and assessing repair methodologies
The ability to interpret architectural plans, manage project budgets, and understand industry labour and material rates
Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead by example and act with integrity
Competence in Microsoft Office suite and industry relevant technology
QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (or willingness to obtain)
