About the role
Redleap Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your project management skills within a professional consulting firm in the construction industry.
As Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with senior project management staff and contribute directly to the successful completion of our portfolio of construction projects. This will include supporting significant project in Kawana on the Sunshine Coast which is about to move into construction.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting under the direction of senior project managers
Supporting the administration of construction contracts as Superintendent's Representative, working alongside a highly experienced Superintendent
Monitoring project progress and maintaining accurate project documentation and records
Preparing progress reports and communicating project status to relevant team members and clients
Supporting site inspections and quality assurance activities
Assisting with contract administration and management of project documentation
Performing administrative tasks including data entry, filing and correspondence management
Supporting the identification and resolution of project issues and risks
What we're looking for
A "can do" attitude and a willingness to "have a go"
Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, construction management, architecture or related discipline
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Project
Sound understanding of construction processes, techniques and industry standards and ability to read construction drawings
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Customer-focused approach with excellent stakeholder management capabilities
Full drivers licence and willingness to travel to construction sites as required
Preferred experience: Previous experience in a construction or project management role, familiarity with construction management software, or knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance in construction
