Due to strong and consistent growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to join our estimating team and play a key role in securing and delivering civil infrastructure projects across North Queensland.

This senior position is suited to a highly capable estimator with strong technical and commercial experience, who can contribute to tender strategy, pre-contract estimating, and the development of project delivery methodologies.

The Role

As Senior Civil Estimator, you will lead and contribute to tender preparation and pre-contract estimating activities across a range of civil construction projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tender preparation and pre-contract estimating

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies

• Develop project delivery strategies and value-engineering options

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, programs, and tender documentation

• Assess contractual, technical, and commercial risks

• Support tender strategy and business development initiatives

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements

About You

• Significant experience in civil construction estimating, ideally in a senior role

• Strong understanding of TMR specifications and infrastructure projects

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred)

• Proven ability to develop project delivery methodologies

• Competent in contract interpretation and technical specifications

• Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Project

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight tender timeframes

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental outcomes
