About the role

Home Care Townsville is looking for caring and reliable individuals to assist seniors in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship, and social support. If you have a passion for helping others and a positive attitude, we will provide the necessary training to support you in this role.

As a Home Care Worker, you will:

  • Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping.
  • Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
  • Encourage independence and well-being in a home environment.
What we're looking for

This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a difference - Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. You will be a valued member of the team, working closely with and reporting to our very supportive Senior Home Care Workers as needed.

Key Attributes
  • Patient and calm, particularly when assisting with clients with cognitive or physical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Observant, with the ability to identify and report changes in health or behaviours
  • Physically capable of assisting with mobility, transfers and daily living tasks
  • A current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role. (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
  • A National Police Check.
