We are seeking compassionate, reliable and committed Residential Care Workers to support children and young people living in out-of-home care. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable young people while being part of a supportive and values-driven team.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will: 

  •  Support children and young people in a home environment 

  • Assist with daily routines, appointments, education and recreational activities 

  • Promote life skills, independence and positive decision-making 

  • Build therapeutic relationships with young people 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and handovers 

  • Work collaboratively with Child Safety, families and other professionals 

  • Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours and crisis situations

Essential Requirements 

 Applicants must: 

  •  Hold, be enrolled in, or be willing to enrol in a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services or equivalent qualification 

  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check) 

  • Hold a current National Police Check 

  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain) 

  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence 

  • Have access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel 

  • Hold comprehensive car insurance 

  • Have a smartphone with internet access
