About the Role:

Baseline Training is seeking several qualified and experienced Trainers and Assessors to join our team on a contractor basis.

This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced trainers to apply their skills and share their knowledge as we deliver face-to-face training programs from both our inhouse training facility in Pinkenba, Brisbane and our client locations throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing training programs that meet the needs of our clients and the relevant legislation. The role may also include administrative and compliance tasks to support the smooth and effective delivery of Baseline Training’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face training programs to students.

  • Prepare and deliver training materials, resources, and equipment as required.

  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive assessment instruments (e.g., assessments).

  • Conduct assessments to determine whether students have achieved the required learning outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the Baseline Training team to develop new training programs or update existing ones.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, training delivery, and assessment results.

  • Conduct regular administrative tasks such as updating student records, reporting, and maintaining compliance with Baseline Training Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensure all training and assessment activities are delivered to the required quality standards.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities, such as audits and performance reviews.

  • Participate in validation and moderation sessions to maintain compliant training programs and resources.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: For any of the items noted below, please outline what you currently hold in your cover letter and provide copies with your application, or immediately post interview.

Trainer & Assessor Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110)

  • Proof of Working Rights in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport or Visa)

  • At least one of the following certifications:

    • CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations. 

    • PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)

    • PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).

    • RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency and Response and Rescue.

Required Units of Competency:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

  • HLTAID014 – Provide Advanced First Aid

  • HLTAID015 - Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

  • Certificate II, III or IV in Process Manufacturing, including:

    • MSMPER200-Work in accordance with an issued permit

    • MSMWHS201 Conduct Hazard analysis

    • MSMPER205-Enter Confined Space

    • MSMWHS216-Operate Breathing Apparatus

    • MSMWHS217-Gas Test Atmosphere

    • MSMPER300 Issue Work Permits

 Contractor Requirements:

  • An active ABN

  • Public liability insurance with no less than $5 million coverage.

  • Professional Liability insurance with no less than $1 million coverage

  • Full comprehensive motor vehicle insurance for any motor vehicle that the Contractor and/or any of its personnel use to provide the Services

  • Workers compensation insurance (if and as required by law for the contractor’s business).

Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years’ experience in training and assessment in the VET sector

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of both RTO and current industry standards

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
