Situated in the heart of the Whitsundays in Airlie Beach, we are a privately owned long day care centre, providing high-quality childcare and education for children ages 6 weeks to Prep. Our facilities boast multiple learning spaces, including a water park and separate learning environments to facilitate a natural progression for each child’s learning up to prep.

The Early Childhood Teacher is a vital member of our centre, responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role requires a dedicated and passionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care to support children's development and prepare them for future learning.

Day to day this will involve:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and engaging educational programs for children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a warm and inclusive atmosphere

• Assess and document children's learning and development, preparing regular reports and conducting parent-teacher meetings as required

• Promote health and safety practices in the classroom and outdoor areas, ensuring a secure and hygienic environment

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices

Essential skills

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognized by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

• Have a current First Aid certificate including CPR and Anaphylaxis training

• Strong understanding of EYLF, NQF, and NQS

• Have a positive disposition being able to develop strong relationships with families, children and colleagues

• A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to learning and growth

• The right to work in Australia with no restrictions
