Your new role 
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Civil Designer to join a dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple civil projects while producing high-quality design and drafting documentation using AutoCAD and 12D/Civil Site Design software.

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing multiple civil projects simultaneously
• Preparing CAD documentation, technical reports and sketches
• Utilising AutoCAD and 12D/Civil Site Design software
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, consultants and clients
• Reviewing project documentation and ensuring accuracy
• Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work
• Managing project budgets and invoicing requirements
• Supervising construction works where required
• Supporting quality assurance processes and compliance standards

What you'll need to succeed 

Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil design/drafting within the building or civil construction industry

Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification

Strong experience using AutoCAD and Civil Site Design or 12D software

Sound understanding of Australian civil design standards and regulations

Ability to manage projects independently and work within a team environment

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Valid C Class Driver’s Licence and White Card

Experience with the Townsville City Plan will be highly regarded.
