About your opportunity

The key purpose of this position is to deliver an independent specialist clinical laboratory service and professional leadership within the Townsville Cancer Centre's Bone Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapy program to ensure that all practices comply with clinical and regulatory requirements.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $144,991 to $151,289 p.a. (HP5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • The successful applicant must hold a relevant degree in science or equivalent from a recognised University or other tertiary institution. A degree in Medical Laboratory Science would be considered preferrable. 
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification.
  • Highly regarded: Substantial knowledge and extensive experience/expertise in Cellular Therapy Laboratory procedures, including quality assurance & performance measures.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
