Active Health Psychology is a community-focused practice with a unique edge. We are proud to be the official psychology providers for the reigning WNBL Champions, the Townsville Fire, as well as the Townsville Blackhawks and NQ United Netball.

While we work with elite athletes, our heart lies in providing exceptional care to the broader Townsville community. Our team works across the full spectrum of mental health, supporting children, teens, adults, and NDIS participants. We also take our passion beyond the clinic walls, delivering mental health and performance workshops for local sporting clubs and community programs.

Working across the NQ Cowboys High Performance Centre and our Douglas practice, you will be supported with a tailored caseload built entirely around your clinical passions, whether that is paediatrics, complex trauma, community education, or sports performance.

What You’ll Do

• Provide evidence-based support to a diverse mix of private clients, MHCP, NDIS, and athletes.

• Deliver a range of interventions and assessments tailored to the individual.

• Facilitate engaging mental health, well-being, and performance workshops for local sporting clubs and community programs.

• Collaborate with broader high-performance multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for athletes and the community.

• Participate in collaborative team case discussions and structured internal training.
