Do you want to be part of a welcoming, supportive team where your contributions are valued, and career growth is encouraged? Mercy Community Aged Care Services is looking for compassionate Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our dedicated team at Loreto – Townsville.

We are looking for AIN's who can commit to Full Time and Part Time shifts!

Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Consultant and/or Registered Nurse team, the Assistant in Nursing is responsible for delivering focused person-cantered care and assistance with daily living activities.

This role tasks include but not limited to -

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, transferring clients (e.g. hoist equipment or slide sheets)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and comfort of resident/s rooms
  • Observe, report and respond to all changes in resident/s health and wellbeing
  • Actively monitoring residents’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the Registered Nurse

About you:

  • Certificate III in Individualised Support – Aged Care or similar qualification
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a strong commitment to resident care
  • The ability to work well in a team-focused environment
