About the role...

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Psychologist to join our Student Services Team in a Permanent Full-Time capacity, commencing 20 July 2026.

The Psychologist plays a vital role in providing professional counselling, guidance, and pastoral care to support the wellbeing and academic success of students across the College. As a key member of the Student Services Team, you will take a holistic approach to student care—identifying and supporting those experiencing mental health, educational, or family-related challenges, and facilitating referrals where appropriate.

Reporting to the Director: Wellbeing & Culture, the Psychologist works collaboratively with Learning Enrichment, Heads of Houses, Teachers, and College Chaplains to design and deliver effective wellbeing and pastoral care initiatives, ensuring a high standard of support for all students.

What we are looking for?

To be successful in this role, you must have a current, positive notice Working with Children Check Blue Card, current AHPRA registration, Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and/or membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

You will also have:

• Demonstrated understanding of, and compliance with, College policies and procedures, including Child Protection requirements, the Employee Code of Conduct, and Work Health and Safety legislation.
• Proven experience working with children and adolescents in an educational and/or clinical setting, with strong knowledge of child protection frameworks, processes, and mandatory reporting obligations.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports and documentation with a strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidential student psychological records and managing sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and adherence to ethical and legal requirements.
• Experience working as a Psychologist within a school setting, particularly in a faith‑based educational environment is highly desirable.
