After 11 years, one of our highly valued practice nurses is retiring. Her long tenure reflects what matters most at Mooney Street Medical. We are now looking for a casual practice nurse, (with a view to permanent part time), to continue this important role within our team. Our well established, accredited practice is GP owned and centrally located in Gulliver, Townsville. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Chronic condition management plans and Health assessments

• Assist doctors with minor surgical procedures including instrument sterilisation

• Immunisations, vaccine ordering and management

• Wound care

• Ear Syringing

• Telephone triage and patient advice

• Spirometry

• Previous experience with spirometry testing required or training will be provided

• ECG recording

• Preventative health advice

• Iron Infusions

• Previous experience with iron infusions required or training will be provided

• Ordering and management of medical supplies

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA

• Compassionate communicator

• Team participator

• Good organisational skills and time management skills

• Commitment to Continued Professional Development

• Minimum 1-2 years general practice or primary care nursing experience required
