About the role

TidesChanging Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food Van Driver to join our hospitality team in Rockhampton, QLD 4700. This is a part-time position that offers the perfect opportunity to be the face of our mobile food service, combining customer service excellence with food preparation and vehicle operation. You'll be responsible for driving our food van to various locations, serving customers, and ensuring our van operates safely and efficiently. This role is essential to bringing quality food and service directly to our community.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate and maintain the food van, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked and ready for service each day

2. Drive the food van safely and responsibly to assigned locations throughout Rockhampton, Same locations each day

3. Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and processing payments

4. Clean and sanitise the van, equipment and cooking areas regularly to meet health and safety regulations

5. Stock and rotate food and supply inventory as needed

6. Promote the business and build positive relationships with regular and new customers

What we're looking for

1. Must be available 8-2pm Monday - Friday. Extra hours available for the right person if wanted.

2. A valid current driver's licence with a clean driving record

3. Strong customer service and communication skills

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

5. Reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving

6. Experience with basic cash transactions is required

7. Basic Cash handling experience

8. Must be an Australian permanent resident
