About the opportunity  

This position will support the Manager Employee Relations to deliver services to a large and complex hospital and health service, including the management of significant, high risk and/or complex industrial relations and employee relations matters.

Please note - This is a temporary full-time role, up to 12 months.

Requirements:

  • Whilst not mandatory, possession of a tertiary qualification in industrial relations or human resource management would be highly desirable.
  • Divers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.

  • Salary range: $4791.30 - $5132.30 p.f. (AO6)
  • 4  weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Locality allowance

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Sound knowledge of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies and practices within a large complex workforce environment.
  • Previous experience in delivering a similar role using influencing skills to deliver business results or efficiencies within industrial constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence and engage others and deal with conflict situations in a rational and constructive manner.
  • Ability to perform as an individual contributor and team player under pressure, responding quickly to requests, and achieving necessary timelines and results in line with expectations.
  • Sound analytical ability to identify and analyse problems, and formulate and implement appropriate courses of action, converting them into high level and objective written documents for key stakeholder approval.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills.
