Human Resources Advisor / HR Generalist
Join a Leading Heavy Engineering Company Supporting the Mining Industry
We are a well-established heavy engineering business specialising in the repair, overhaul, and manufacture of longwall mining equipment.
 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Advisor / HR Generalist to join our team for a 1 month contract for the Month of July
 
This is a hands-on HR role suited to a proactive professional who enjoys working closely with managers and employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
About the Role
Reporting to the leadership team, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the business, partnering with managers to deliver effective people and culture outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end recruitment and selection activities
• Employee onboarding and induction processes
• Managing workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
• Assisting with conflict resolution and employee relations issues
• Providing advice on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
• Supporting performance management processes
• Maintaining employee records and HR documentation
• Administration and management of HRIS systems
• Assisting with workforce planning and retention initiatives
• Supporting payroll and HR reporting functions as required

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist, HR Advisor or similar role
• Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection
• Experience managing workplace investigations and employee relations matters
• Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
• Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
• Experience using HRIS platforms and employee management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

• Experience using Employment Hero HRIS and Payroll systems
• Previous experience within engineering, mining, manufacturing, construction, industrial or heavy industry environments
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
