GIANOTTI INVESTMENTS PTY. LTD t/a Advanced Aqua Blasting are currently seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team in Ingham, QLD in a full time role.

The Computer Network and Systems Engineer is the first dedicated IT and cybersecurity role within Advanced Aqua Blasting. This position is responsible for designing, building, implementing, and maintaining the company's entire network, infrastructure, and security environment from the ground up.

This position establishes foundational IT infrastructure, standards, and processes to support current operations and future growth, while providing both hands-on technical support and input into technology design and risk management.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement the company's full network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and internet connectivity.
• Establish foundational IT architecture, including server environments, cloud services, and business systems
• Develop and implement cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and controls appropriate to a small-to-medium industrial business.
• Configure and manage endpoint protection, firewall rules, access controls, and identity management systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for network and security visibility.
• Conduct vulnerability management, patching strategies, and system hardening across all environments.
• Build IT processes including onboarding/offboarding, access management, asset tracking, and change control.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for all IT-related issues across the business.
• Lead or support IT-related projects including system deployments, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Engage with external vendors and service providers, including ISPs, cloud providers, and software/hardware suppliers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical advice to management regarding technology decisions, risk management, and infrastructure improvements.

The Computer Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Advance Aqua Blasting's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity environment.

The role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data, maintaining secure and reliable technology services across the business.

The position operates with a high degree of autonomy, applying senior-level capability across networking, systems, and cybersecurity, and contributes to the development of IT governance, standards, and processes.

Applicants must have:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (mandatory).
• 1+ year of relevant work experience
• Relevant industry certifications are highly regarded.
• Proven ability to design and build IT infrastructure from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and security architecture.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity controls in a business environment.
• Ability to operate independently in a standalone IT role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High level of accountability and ownership of outcomes.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working without close supervision.

A salary of $77,000 - $90,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful applicants.
