Job Description

NURSING OPPORTUNITY Health on Central is not your ordinary GP! Located in Andergrove, Mackay, Health on Central is seeking a registered nurse to join our supportive, up to date and patient focused team.

  The Practice is opened Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. No shift, weekend or afterhours work.

Criteria: Essential: Registered nurse (RN): Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team Adaptable and open to change and innovation

Current CPR certificate Desirable: Previous experience in

General Practice  Knowledge of childhood and adult immunisations Experience in chronic disease management 

Computer skills (previous experience in Best Practice would be highly desirable) Ability to multi-task with workflow of a treatment room

Duties: Patient triage Immunisations and other injections

ECG’s, Spirometry and ear syringing Wound management procedures and support GP’s during minor surgery Care plans, health assessments and support patients with chronic illnesses
