A warm welcome awaits you at CDC Queensland.

CDC Queensland is fortunate to be part of one of the largest land transport companies in the world whilst still maintaining our unique identity in Central Queensland. By identity, we mean our people – many stalwarts of the local community, who love adventure and the great outdoors, be it gardening, fishing, hiking or proudly driving a CDC bus.

We are a close-knit bunch in our bus world at CDC in Central Queensland. We respect and support one another as we assist local families, their children, and the broader community to safely reach their destinations daily. If you share a passion for driving, fancy a downshift from a stressful career, or need extra income as you approach retirement, you can join our team too.

We make the recruitment process easy for you. CDC will upgrade your C class licence and help you get your Driver's Authority to carry passengers and operate our fleet of buses. As a bus driver with us, lifelong friendships are formed, and you would be a welcome and valued addition to our team.

We offer flexible work tailored to your needs.

Joining our professional and award-winning bus-driving family provides an exciting range of full-time, casual shifts and weekend opportunities for you to service the Rockhampton and surrounding communities. Our operations are specially designed so you can optimise your earning potential while striking the right balance between your work commitments and family, lifestyle, and other community interests.

A market leader in modern safety technology, CDC's buses and coaches are well-maintained and air-conditioned for your comfort, enjoyment, and wellbeing.

Remember, if you have yet to drive a bus, we will pay you well while providing extensive on-the-job training to make you a very confident, safe, and accomplished bus driver for our company.

About you

CDC will consider a number of options as far as your skills and experience are concerned because we have plenty of work and lots of opportunities for you in Queensland and other states.

Here is a snapshot of some of what we need from you:

  • Current driver's licence and a good driving record

  • Current MR/HR licence or ability to be trained to get one

  • Current Queensland Drivers Authority or ability to get one

  • Any bus driving or heavy vehicle experience would be great but not essential

  • A good manner and the ability to interact with customers of all ages and abilities

To apply

Actively looking to downshift to a less strenuous career that pays well and suits your personal needs and lifestyle, it's easier than you think with CDC.

A Drug and Alcohol screening along with a Pre-Employment Medical will be required for the successful applicant prior to employment.
