Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and safety-focused HC Truck Driver to join our Rockhampton team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of roofing and steel building products to customers across Rockhampton and surrounding regional areas.

This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HC vehicles for local and regional deliveries

  • Load, secure, and unload steel products in accordance with safety requirements

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks

  • Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time

  • Maintain proof of delivery documentation and delivery records

  • Provide professional customer service at delivery sites

  • Assist with yard and warehouse duties when required

  • Comply with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint requirements

About You

  • Current HC (Heavy Combination) Licence

  • Vehicle Loading Crane (HIAB) ticket (essential)

  • Previous experience operating HC vehicles

  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance

  • Understanding of load restraint and transport regulations

  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
