Our Townsville Team are looking for a Sawyer / Fabricator to join the Fabrication team both working in the saw area, and assembling our products, including Windows, Doors and Screens.

About the role

This role will provide the candidate with good variety in their day, working with our inventory in the stores area, undertaking saw work, as well as manufacturing and assembling Bradnam’s products including windows, security screens, shower screens and wardrobe doors. Bring to the role some previous experience in store work, manufacturing or a similar trade, and we will provide you with with full training in the manufacturing our range of products, to help you succeed in this role.

This role includes a significant amount of manual lifting, therefore it is crucial you practice safe manual handling techniques at all times. 

Day shift operations are:

Monday 6.30 am - 3.00 pm / Tuesday to Friday 6.30 am - 2.30 pm

Key responsibilities

• Cutting and machining product components

• Assembling Bradnams products

• Unloading raw materials

• Assisting with deliveries to customers as required

• Communication with customers in a professional manner

• Using Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing provided to ensure a safe work environment

• General housekeeping maintenance of the workspace.

About you

• Previous experience working with aluminium fabrication or a similar industry would be advantageous but not essential - we will provide all training

• Possess an ability to safely operate hand and power tools is essential

• A forklift license would be beneficial but not essential
