Position: Delivery Driver

Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of Goods: Safely transport products and packages to their designated locations within scheduled timeframes, following the assigned delivery routes.

  2. Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading merchandise onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper packaging and securing to prevent damage during transit. Also, unload items carefully at the destination.

  3. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition before each trip. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

  4. Route Optimization: Plan the most efficient delivery route to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness.

  5. Navigation: Utilize navigation tools and GPS systems to find the best routes and avoid traffic or road closures.

  6. Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns with patience and empathy.

  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, items delivered, and any special instructions or customer feedback.

  8. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies to ensure the safety of both the driver and the public.

  9. Communication: Keep open communication with the dispatch team and update them on the status of deliveries, any delays, or issues that may arise.


Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is an advantage, but not necessary

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple deliveries efficiently.

  • Physical ability to lift and carry packages of various weights.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and the dispatch team.

  • Reliability and punctuality are essential to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in delivery schedules or routes as needed.
