About Role

Toll People are currently seeking an experienced HC Local Driver to work on our customer site in Mackay. You will be responsible for delivering General Freight throughout the Mackay areas. This role is suited for drivers who are seeking a potential for ongoing work Monday to Friday and available to work ongoing day Shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive local knowledge of the Mackay area
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Load dimensions as you will need to load & unload your vehicle
  • Completion of all run-sheets accordingly
  • Ability to complete all pre-start checks at the beginning of each shift

Skills & Experience

  • Current HC driver license with 2yrs exp
  • Experience doing multi-drops
  • Must be physically fit & reliable
  • Extensive experience in commercial truck driving
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Load Restraints
  • Co-operate with your employer to ensure all safe work procedures are adhered to
  • Immediately report any unhealthy and/or unsafe working conditions, hazards, equipment, or practices to your manager/supervisor and make suggestions on improvements
  • Immediately report to your manager/supervisor all injuries, illnesses, incidents and near misses - no matter how minor
