Senior Procurement Contracts Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Procurement Contracts Coordinator reports to the Procurement Manager and contributes to Mackay Sugar's Procurement Team through the establishment of tender processes and the implementation and management of supply contracts for materials and services; support of and involvement in operational procurement activities; development and refinement of procurement policies and procedures; whilst developing a sound understanding of business operations to support internal customers with commercial advice in production operations, asset management and capital project delivery disciplines. The role will be based at our Business Service Centre, Central Procurement Office at Farleigh.

Skills & Experience

• Possess significant experience in a similar procurement/contracts role within heavy industrial / asset management / manufacturing environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication capabilities to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels.
• Strong networking, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, or similar ERP system, and Microsoft applications including word, excel and powerpoint.
• High level of initiative and decision-making ability.
• A customer service attitude, balanced against the need to think and act strategically.
• Ability to work individually and within a team environment.
• A strong awareness of bottom-line results and return on investment.
• Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental standards
• Commitment to live by the (4) Mackay Sugar Values.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Supply Chain, Finance) and / or extensive technical and commercial experience in a related field will be highly regarded.
