MDD Heavy Industries is seeking skilled Diesel Fitter to join our growing team at our Eton Workshop facility. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for dedicated professionals who share our passion for delivering top-quality services to our diverse clientele, ranging from large Tier One mining companies to small, family-run operations.

The Role

This is a workshop position based at our Eton facility. The role operates 4/3 day-shift roster, with the potential for additional hours. You will be involved in a diverse range of tasks, spanning from minor mechanical repairs to full zero hour heavy earthmoving machine rebuilds.

The successful applicant must meet these requirements:

• Trade Qualification; Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitting)

• Valid C class Manual driver's licence essential

• Physically fit with ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + D&A Screening

• Good Communication skills

• Proven experience in diagnostics & problem solving.

• Experience using Caterpillar ET & SIS

• Must be able to competently read and interpret OEM electrical and hydraulic schematics

• Experience maintaining a variety of heavy mobile equipment

• Experience maintaining and overhauling Caterpillar heavy equipment & components highly regarded

• You must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter

• Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently without supervision

• Produce high quality work with attention to detail - essential
