NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs approximately 250 people to run the underground mining, and ore processing operations.


We are seeking an experienced Mine Engineer on an 8/6 or 12/9 roster, residential in Charters Towers, DIDO or FIFO for the right candidate. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled mining engineer with underground drill & blast experience and the ability to mentor and guide others.

About the Role

As a Mine Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the planning and execution of underground mining activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drill and blast design and implementation
  • Explosives management, ordering, and stocktake
  • Preparation of backfill and weekly mine plans
  • Data entry, reporting, and analysis (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • Supporting Supervisors and underground operations
  • Conducting inspections of underground workings
  • Regular engagement with stakeholders to review and improve mine plans

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 1-7 years' underground production engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Deswik and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Sound understanding of drill & blast design.
