About You
We are seeking a mature, responsible and motivated Sales & Operations Coordinator who thrives in a small business environment where initiative, accountability and sound business practices matter.
You will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and the confidence to work autonomously while helping coordinate customer relationships, sales opportunities, service delivery and day-to-day business operations.
This is a diverse role that combines customer relationship management, sales support, business development, operational coordination and marketing activities. You will work closely with the Managing Director and play a key role in maintaining customer engagement, supporting business growth and ensuring the smooth operation of the business while he is working remotely on client sites.

Job tasks and responsibilitiesYou will work closely with the Managing Director and play a pivotal role in supporting customer relationships, sales growth, service coordination and the day-to-day operation of the business.
As a key member of a small and highly specialised team, you will be trusted to work autonomously, communicate professionally and take ownership of outcomes. The role requires initiative, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
The role includes:
• Managing customer enquiries and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Preparing and following up quotations, sales opportunities and service proposals
• Supporting business development activities and identifying opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts
• Coordinating service requirements, customer communications and workflow scheduling
• Maintaining accurate CRM, customer and job records
• Assisting with marketing initiatives, social media content and website/e-commerce updates
• Coordinating product orders, supplier communications and inventory requirements
• Supporting quality, safety and document control systems
• Preparing reports, tracking KPIs and assisting with business improvement initiatives
• General operational and administrative support required to ensure the efficient running of the business

Skills and experienceThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Experience in customer service, sales support, business development, account management or operational coordination
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to engage professionally with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• The ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks and contribute positively to business outcomes
• Experience preparing quotations, managing customer enquiries and supporting sales activities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Confidence using business software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• A willingness to learn technical products and services within a specialised industry
• Experience with quality management systems, document control or ISO-certified environments (highly regarded)
• Experience with Office 365, SharePoint, FileMaker, CRM platforms or e-commerce systems (highly regarded)
• Previous experience working within mining, industrial, manufacturing, safety, technical services or related industries will be highly regarded
• Relevant qualifications in business, administration, marketing, sales, supply chain management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
