About Our Client

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Suppression Technician for an ongoing position with a valued client based in Mackay. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of commercial, mining and industrial sites, carrying out the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire suppression systems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Service, inspect, and maintain fire suppression systems on mobile mining equipment

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections

• Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding and diagnostics

• Carry out repairs, component replacements, and system testing

• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and site procedures

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service

• Liaise with site personnel to minimise equipment downtime and maximise system reliability

What You Will Need

• Previous experience working on fire suppression systems, preferably within the mining industry

• Hold a current QBCC Licence

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

• Ability to work autonomously in a field service environment

• Current Driver's Licence

• White Card (or equivalent)

• Ability to pass mine site medicals and drug & alcohol testing requirements
