Doyle Group is seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Operations Manager to lead and optimise our transport operations across the business.

With a versatile fleet that includes truck and dogs, side tippers, road trains, concrete agitators and heavy haulage vehicles, this leadership role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of materials across all Doyle Group businesses.

Working closely with the Raw Materials Manager, Concrete Plant Manager, Site Project Managers and Supervisors, you will play a key role in coordinating fleet operations, maximising utilisation and delivering reliable transport solutions while leading a skilled team of transport professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Doyle Group transport fleet, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable service delivery

  • Manage and support the transport team, including recruitment, onboarding and retention of drivers and operators

  • Coordinate fleet allocation across in-house and subcontractor transport, maximising utilisation and productivity

  • Ensure compliance with HVNL, Mass and Maintenance Management requirements, maintaining strong safety standards

  • Monitor fleet performance and provide regular operational reporting and monthly P&L reports to the Managing Director

  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, systems and equipment, including input into fleet procurement and upgrades

About You

  • Strong experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations, ideally in a leadership role

  • Good working knowledge of HVNL, Mass Management and Maintenance Management requirements

  • Ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced operational environment

  • Strong understanding of operational decision-making and financial performance

  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and compliance standards

  • Practical problem-solving ability, with mechanical aptitude and operational awareness

  • Queensland MC Licence

  • A resilient, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
