About the Role:

We are currently seeking qualified Field Service Diesel Fitters to join our team to support our various civil construction projects across the Bowen Basin.

Dedicated to a particular site, you'll play a vital part in maintaining and repairing our fleet, ensuring our machinery runs at optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems of heavy equipment
• Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues in a timely manner
• Repairing and replacing faulty parts as necessary
• Performing scheduled servicing of equipment to prevent unexpected downtime
• Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Experience working on CAT equipment and familiarity with CAT diagnostic systems (highly desirable)
• RII Certified: EWP, Working at Heights, and Light Vehicle/Equipment Testing & Operations (highly desirable).
• Current & valid Driver’s Licence
• A “can do” attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to carry out performance testing and adjustments after repairs.
• Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised as required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

The successful candidate must hold or be willing to obtain a Coal Board Medical Health Assessment and Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
