About the role

The Asset and Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Diocesan Services and is responsible for managing diocesan buildings, land, facilities and fleet, along with overseeing operations at The Haven, Emu Park. The position also supports parishes with property matters and ensures assets are maintained, compliant, and well-managed.

The Asset and Facilities Manager is responsible for: 

  • Managing maintenance, contractors and service providers
  • Overseeing property transactions (purchases, sales, leases)
  • Maintaining property records, registers and documentation
  • Administering insurance and manage claims
  • Managing the Diocesan vehicle fleet
  • Supporting related committees and stakeholder reporting
  • Overseeing operations of The Haven

What we're looking for

  • Experience in property, facilities, construction or project management
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Sound understanding of compliance and maintenance practices
  • Relevant qualification
  • An active participant in the Catholic Church and/or lifestyle aligned with Church values and teachings
  • Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles and preparation of capital and maintenance budgets
  • Sound knowledge of taxation laws in relation to property transactions and property assets
  • Current motor vehicle driver’s licence and ability to travel on a semi-regular basis
