 What You’ll Be Doing  

• Deliver Q-Ride licensing courses and assessments under the QLD TMR syllabus.  

• Guide and mentor new riders with patience, professionalism, and enthusiasm.  

• Continue your ongoing development as an Instructor.  

• Represent Stay Upright’s 45-year legacy of safety, professionalism, and fun.  

 What You’ll Need 

All applicants must hold: 

• A current open R class motorcycle licence, held for a continuous period of 12 months paired with recent riding experience. 

• Great communication skills and a genuine desire to help people succeed.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes at least every second weekend.

You'll also need one of the following qualifications:

• A Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport Motorcycle Riding Instruction) of 41416 and above OR completion of the three motorcycle specific units of competency: 

• TLIC0035—Apply low-risk motorcycle riding behaviours; and 

• TLIM0013—Conduct motorcycle rider training; and 

• TLIM0020—Develop low-risk motorcycle riding behaviours in others 

Not yet qualified? No problem! As the only TMR accredited instructor training provider in QLD, we can train you and help you to obtain the required qualifications through our Instructor Training program, delivered in Brisbane. You'll need to be willing and able to travel to Brisbane for the training component of your pathway to becoming a qualified Instructor.
