Qualified Boilermaker – Paget, Mackay

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Boilermaker to join our growing team based in Paget, Mackay.

This position is available on either a casual or full-time basis and offers consistent work, overtime opportunities, and a supportive workshop environment.

About the Role

This is a workshop-based position involving the fabrication, repair, and modification of a variety of steel and metal components. The successful applicant will be required to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans

• Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural steel and metal components

• Perform repairs and modifications to equipment and machinery

• Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely

• Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal materials to specifications

• Conduct MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as required

• Complete quality checks to ensure work meets required standards

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

• Strong welding and fabrication skills

• High attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Current driver’s licence preferred

• Forklift and/or overhead crane tickets advantageous but not essential
