Magnetic Elite Property Care Pty Ltd is a commercial cleaning business operating on Magnetic Island and in the Townsville region. We provide holiday rental cleaning, bond cleaning, hotel cleaning, accommodation cleaning, NDIS property cleaning, and customised cleaning solutions for commercial and hospitality properties across Magnetic Island and the Townsville region.

Due to ongoing business growth and client demand, we are seeking 3 full-time Commercial Cleaners to join our team. 

About the Roles

We are recruiting three Commercial Cleaners to perform commercial cleaning duties at client sites on Magnetic Island and, where required, in the broader Townsville region.

The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe and hygienic commercial premises in accordance with client requirements, workplace procedures and health and safety standards.

 

Key Duties

The duties of the role include:

• cleaning commercial premises, including offices, accommodation facilities, amenities, hospitality venues and common areas;

• sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and polishing floors;

• cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, public areas, windows, fixtures and fittings;

• emptying bins and removing waste in accordance with workplace procedures;

• replenishing consumables and cleaning supplies;

• using commercial cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely;

• following cleaning schedules, checklists and client instructions;

• reporting maintenance, safety or hygiene issues to supervisors;

• complying with workplace health and safety requirements; and

• performing other commercial cleaning duties reasonably required by the employer.

 

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have:

• previous experience in commercial cleaning or a similar cleaning role;

• ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays where required;

• good attention to detail;

• ability to work independently and as part of a team;

• reliability and punctuality;

• ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules and safety procedures;

• physical ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role; and

• A current driver licence (manual)

• Currently Based permanently long term on Magnetic Island (no 88 days or backpackers)

Desirable but not essential:

• experience using commercial cleaning equipment;

• workplace health and safety training;

• infection control or hospitality/accommodation cleaning experience; and

• first aid certificate.

 

Salary and Conditions

The salary for each position is from AUD $76,515 per annum, plus superannuation.

Employment conditions will be in accordance with the National Employment Standards, any applicable modern award or enterprise instrument, and the employer’s workplace policies. 

Location

The roles are based on Magnetic Island, Queensland, with work performed at commercial client sites on Magnetic Island and, where required, in the Townsville region.
