About the role

As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician at NQ Auto Group, you will be responsible for preparing and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are in pristine condition and ready for sale. This full-time role is based in our state-of-the-art facility in Townsville, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive inspections of used vehicles to identify any repair or reconditioning requirements

• Performing high-quality mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic work to restore vehicles to showroom condition

• Utilising your expertise to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of vehicle issues

• Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out and parts used

• Collaborating with the sales team to ensure vehicles are prepared and presented to the highest standards

• Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised workspace

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified automotive technician or mechanic

• Trade certification in automotive is required

• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of issues

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment

• Good communication skills and customer service orientation

• Valid driver's licence and your own tools

• Current Queensland Roadworthy Inspection certificate or abiltity to obtain one
