The company provides portable Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, and Restoration Equipment for hire and sale. Our business is fast-paced, proactive, and dynamic, operating in multiple industries including Mechanical Services, Facility Management, Flood Restoration, and Major Events.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, capable, and motivated Branch Manager/Business Development Manager to build and assist in the operation of our Northern Queensland branch based at our Townsville premises.

You will complement CBR’s existing sales and managerial strategies to capitalise on our competitive market advantages, company strengths, business efficiency, and overall potential for market expansion across Australia and New Zealand.

The role is diverse, requiring adaptability to different tasks while being responsible for growing and streamlining all Northern QLD opportunities.

Duties Include:

  • Build and maintain the general CBR customer base. 

  • Increase market share in critical industries for both hire and sales. 

  • Identify new business opportunities and assist with the day-to-day running of the business. 

  • Conduct regular face-to-face sales calls and cold calls for major clients. 

  • Maintain a CRM with weekly reporting and ensure Branch administrative tasks are met promptly.

  • Promote a positive, energetic, and motivated workplace culture. 

  • Ensure all equipment meets customer requirements, CBR standards, WHS compliance, and site compliance. 

  • Ensure all OH&S procedures are correctly implemented and adhered to. 

  • Assist with operational requirements when demand requires. 

  • Provide professional advice and project management.

Skills and Experience

Previous significant experience in Management, Senior Sales, or BDM roles. Experience is preferred in the hire and/or air conditioning industries but is not essential. Previous positions in Branch Management, Senior Sales, National Sales, or National BDM. Experience dealing with local Mechanical Service and Facility Management Companies. Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM (or similar). Full Australian working rights.
