Rowes Bay Golf Club is a premier 27-hole championship course located in beautiful Townsville, Queensland. Known for our lush fairways and picturesque setting, we pride ourselves on providing a top-tier golfing experience. Our team is dedicated, passionate, and committed to maintaining the highest standards.

We are seeking a full-time Mechanic to join our team and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all turf equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working with small engines, hydraulic systems, and a variety of mowing and turf management machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair golf course maintenance equipment (mowers, utility vehicles, etc.)

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance

• Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out timely repairs

• Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently

• Maintain accurate service records and inventory of parts and supplies

• Assist with equipment setup and training for the greens staff

  
  

About You:

• Trade qualification or relevant mechanical experience (diesel/small engines preferred)

• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently

• Experience with turf or agricultural equipment is an advantage

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently to ensure all equipment is operational and safe

• Must have a valid driver’s licence
