Martyn Mining Services (MMS) is seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our growing Drill & Blast operations on a 7 Days On / 7 Days Off DIDO roster from Townsville, Queensland.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on surface drill rigs and support equipment.

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical faults.

• Maintain equipment to maximise reliability and operational availability.

• Complete inspections, defect reporting and maintenance documentation.

• Work closely with drilling crews to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team.

• Maintain the highest standards of safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Trade Qualification – Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel or equivalent.

• Previous experience maintaining surface drill rigs in mining or quarry operations.

• Strong hydraulic and fault-finding skills.

• Experience working on Sandvik DP1500i, Sandvik surface drills, Epiroc/Atlas Copco drills or similar equipment.

• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Current HR Driver's Licence highly regarded.

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

• Experience on Sandvik drilling equipment.

• Working at Heights.

• Air Conditioning ARC Accreditation.

• Forklift Licence.

• AFFF Ticket.

• Experience with support equipment and mobile mining plant.
