ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated company based in Mackay, providing services to the mining, industrial and resources sectors throughout Queensland.

We are currently seeking experienced Trade Qualified Fabricator/Welders to join our team for a major 793F chassis repair project. These positions offer approximately six months of ongoing work, commencing mid August for the right candidates.

Essential Requirements

·         Trade Qualification in Fabrication/Welding or equivalent

·         Current ISO9606 Welding Certification

·         Current Standard 11 (S11)

·         Coal Board Medical (CBM)

·         Demonstrated experience in heavy fabrication and structural welding

·         Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

·         Reliable work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team environment

About You

You take pride in producing quality work, understand the importance of maintaining high safety standards, and have experience working on heavy mining equipment or similar structural repair projects.

Previous experience performing chassis crack repairs on Caterpillar 793 haul trucks will be highly regarded.
