Jaysel Electrical & Instrumentation is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (EI) Technician to join our growing team on a FIFO basis with point of hire being Townsville. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected specialist contractor, supporting ongoing maintenance activities across a major processing operation.

This role offers a consistent 8 on / 6 off roster, strong team culture, and the chance to further develop your technical skills within a professional and safety-focused environment.

This is a clean-shaven site, and all applicants must be able to meet site medical and safety requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • QLD Electrical License

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV (With relevant experience) in Instrumentation

  • Ability and willingness to undertake a full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening


Desirable Qualifications

  • High Risk Licence – Elevated Work Platform

  • Working at Heights

  • Confined Space Entry

  • EEHA

  • HV Switching (Nationally Accredited)


Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in an EI maintenance role within a processing or heavy industrial plant

  • Exposure to Hazardous Area works

  • Competent in the use of Beamex calibrators and associated software

  • Experience with process instrumentation calibrations

  • Experience with valve overhauls, setup and commissioning

  • Experience with rotating machines and related instrumentation
